Dear Marketeer,
The trap many of us fall into is that we accept the world as it is, and don’t push hard enough to make it what it should be. I wish those words were mine but they belong to a fellow Turkey-tourist, Barack Obama. As far as we know, human beings are the only species capable of foresight – the art of imagining a future yet unseen. This is the gift that enables us to build new brands, create new businesses and send people to the moon and return them safely. That’s what we used to do.Yesterday.
Nowadays, people mostly worry. “What if?”, “When will?” and a constant chorus of doubting “Why’s.” To quote a famous pop song, worrying to solve problems is as effective as solving an algebraic equation by solving bubble gum. Are you ready to stop worrying and start dreaming, daring and doing? We hope you are and we’ve prepared a kickstart-conference to help you along the way.
2009 is the year we reimagine the role of marketing and refocus our agendas on the stuff that really matters This is the year we rethink and recontextualize what business we’re in.
